Färgfabriken
Contemporary art, architecture and urban-planning venue in a former paint factory at Lövholmsbrinken 1. Open Tue–Sun 11–16 during exhibitions, admission 80 kr.
About
The old factory at Lövholmsbrinken 1 has been an art venue since 1995. Färgfabriken shows contemporary art, architecture, urban planning and design in rooms where paint, soap and artists' materials were made in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It stands by the water in Lövholmen, with the Liljeholmen metro and the Trekanten tram stop as the nearest stations. During exhibition periods the hall and shop open Tuesday–Sunday 11–16 and close on Mondays. Standard admission is 80 kr, students and seniors 60 kr; under-19s and job seekers enter free. An annual pass at 200 kr (300 kr with a guest) gives free entry, opening invitations and ten percent off in the shop. The shop beside the entrance desk sells art, design objects, books and posters, much of it from the Platform Stockholm and Färgkontoret studio associations in the block. Guided tours and school programmes are booked via [email protected]. A café serving lunch and weekend brunch is in the building.
