About
Kvarterskyrkan på kajen is one of the four churches of Hägersten parish, at Sjövikskajen 36–42 with the water right outside. It holds services, baptisms and weddings, and a good deal more that asks nothing of you: an open café on Tuesdays and Fridays 9:00–12:00 and Thursdays 13:00–18:00, rhythm-and-song sessions for small children and their adults on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a short lunchtime prayer on Fridays at 11:45. In summer it runs a café every weekday from mid-June to mid-August. The music is led by the church musician Carl d’Ailly. Tuesdays at noon bring a lunchtime concert with free entry, followed by soup for 50 kronor; in autumn 2026 the players include the klezmer trio Tzeitel, the folk group Nejderna and students from Nordiska Musikgymnasiet. The church’s children’s choirs, youth choir and the women’s choir Voce Novum sing in Christmas round the tree on Sjövikstorget on 12 December. At weekends the church is open when a service is held.
