About
In autumn 2025 Kader Jilani opened Haandi on the corner of Sjöviksvägen 65 and Sjöviksbacken, in premises that previously housed a sushi and wok restaurant. The kitchen is Bengali and Indian: the tikka butter masala, balti and karai curries cost SEK 185 with chicken or house-made paneer and SEK 195 with scampi or lamb, pilau rice and salad included. Sizzlers on an iron plate are SEK 199–219, the slow-cooked Pappa Said's lamb paya SEK 219 and Nagas Kick, marked very hot, SEK 195. The vegan corner offers tofu-based tikka masala, balti and karai at SEK 199, palak paneer at SEK 185 and mixed daal at SEK 165. Starters run from papadam at SEK 40 to the Haandi Street Roll, a filled paratha, at SEK 110. Weekday lunch is SEK 125–145 with rice, pickles and salad – chicken tikka butter masala SEK 129, the Mahananda River salmon curry SEK 139, chicken tikka sizzler SEK 145. Monday to Thursday it serves 11:00–21:00, Friday until 21:30, Saturday 13:00–21:30 and Sunday 13:00–21:00; the kitchen closes half an hour earlier. Take-away is ordered direct, delivery through Wolt, Foodora and Uber Eats.
