Plåtparken

Container park with street food and bars on the Marievik quay. Season 8 May to early September 2026, open daily from 11 in fair weather.

About

Ten shipping containers in assorted colours and sizes make up Plåtparken on the quay at Marievik: bars, kitchens and open-air seating. The 2026 season opened on 8 May and runs into early September; the park opens every day from 11 as long as the weather holds, and closes when it rains. The food is simple summer fare — burgers made with beef from pasture-raised cattle in the Stockholm area, snacks and cold drinks from the bars. The summer programme includes DJ nights, live music, markets and a big screen for the football World Cup; a basketball court was added in 2026 and the ground is now asphalt and stone paving rather than gravel. A flea market was held here on 15 August together with the shop Shapeshifter. Plåtparken was Sweden’s first box park when it began in Skanstull, and moved here in summer 2024. After the 2025 season the site was slated to become a municipal park, but in May 2026 co-founder Peter Schröder and his team were cleared for one more summer. There is no agreement for 2027.
