About
At half past six on weekday mornings Roots & Soil opens its street-level room at Årstaängsvägen 21 B and stays open until 15:00; weekends are closed. Breakfast is stone-oven bread with toppings such as turkey and Dijon mayonnaise or burrata and avocado at 49–55 kronor, chia pudding and house-made muesli at 59 kr, and oat-drink smoothies at 39 kr. Lunch means salads, hot dishes and wraps, all orderable on the website. Salads run 139–144 kr — a Mexican prawn salad at 144 kr, salmon and quinoa at 142 kr, falafel with roasted pumpkin at 139 kr — and hot dishes 139–142 kr, for example grilled salmon with oven-roasted potatoes or oriental meatballs. Every wrap is 129 kr, and kombucha costs 49 kr. The place is run by a family that has kept restaurants since 1960, in Sweden from the start, with Elias and his wife Christine hosting in Marievik. The idea is that a guest can trace each ingredient back to its producer, and the kitchen cooks everything from scratch. Catering has its own contact address.
